Hi! I'm Nell from Mexico city. I like comics and manga. My current favorites: Blankets from Craig Thomson, Unlikely from Jeffrey Brown, Yotsuba by Kiyohiko Azumaand and Chi's Sweet Home by Konami Kanata. I also like to waste my time with videogames and RSS feeds.

I love ComicBookLover! It's bliss to read a comic in bed with my Macbook in a laptop table, the remote on one hand and a cup of tea on the other :)

Reading comics in bed, with a cup of tea, and MacBook in hand... now that's a Kodak moment which should be shared with others in the Photos section! (hint hint)

Hi, I'm Yann from Germany.
I like sound stories in combination with great art. That's why my enthusiasm is focused on franco-belgique bande desinée. Since Germany has long been a BD-desert with only a few oasis' around, P2P was the friend that taught me everything. I have high hopes in the future of CBL, which is the greatest tool for CB management on the mac plattform so far. But at the moment, without a smart metadata retrieval and management system, CBL - like all the other tools around - has a serious weakness. I like to use 'Delicious Library' for my books, 'Papers' for my scientific articles and 'Helium 200X' (Windows only) for the management of my music files. I wish us a brigth future with and for CBL,

Thanks Simon,
Yann

Hi Yann, thanks for your support. There seem to be quite a few fans of BD around here :-)

Hey I'm Nanda from the UK. I used to read a lot of comics in my early teens, just started again, loving The Boys, Preacher, Watchmen, Maus, Alias, etc. Not so much into the masses of super-whatever stuff though.

CBL is cool, also like Simple Comic for the shorter ones.

Yes, CBL is like iTunes, where sometimes you might use a more light-weight player for single music files. Given time, I will be looking to develop a QuickLook plug-in so you can quickly preview/read comics from the Finder.

What's up. I'm Paul, manager of webcomicsinc.blogstpot.com and webcomicsinc.ning.com. Looking to network with anyone and everyone in Webcomics and hopefully find myself a cartoonist :-)

Cheers,

Hey all,

I'm Chris from California, been into comics on and off since I was 14 (1984). My first foray from the suburbs to scary underground Berkeley continued my obsession with Iron Man, but showed me a lot of indie stuff like Dan Clowes' Eightball.

I have to give credit to Maria from California Comic Book Company (?) in Antioch for being really nice and providing a fun place to chat about comics.

When I was 28 (>_<) I worked for Joe Field at Flying Colors Comics in Pleasant Hill. That was a really great experience. Joe is one of the good guys. Joe's the guy behind FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! I did some graphic design for him when I worked there including the current logo and the Wondercon 2001 program.

Anyway, I love both the Supes and the Indies, as long as the story and art are intriguing (not necessarily at the same time).

All time favorites:

Iron Man, Judge Dredd, Alien Legion, Lone Wolf and Cub, Marshall Law, Eightball, ACME Novelty Library, various Hernandez Bros work, Captain Jack (Mike Kazaleh), Dragonball.

CBL is THE standard for organizing and viewing comics and I'm glad to be here!
I can't wait for the hi-res, color E-Ink version! (^_^)/

Still waiting for a manual "Sort" function to make it PERFECT.

Hi. See top of post for name!

I'm trying to stop the floppies and buy the trades. I think in the future, digital comics will be crucial to this trend.

I'm a comics and features writer who has worked in comics and magazine publishing in the UK for over 20 years. My day job is Managing Editor of ROK Comics, which enables comics creators to create or adapt their strips for mobile phones, which can be delivered worldwide through WAP subscription and single downloads -- potentially reaching a much bigger audience than that for web-based comics. In addition to comics delivered via the main ROK Comics web site and WAP service, we have partner services in China (where some strips are being translated into Chinese), Pakistan and South Africa, with more in the pipeline.

I've written strips for various companies such as Marvel, Fleetway, Lucky Bag and commercial companies seeking to use comics as a promotional device. I've also edited various magazines including the official Babylon 5, Doctor Who, Star Trek and Star Wars Magazines.

My British comics news and features web site, downthetubes.net, web site features news about British comics and a somics writing guide. I've beeen doing that since 1999 and the site gets over 20,000 unique visitors a month and has topped 32,000 a month.
