An iPhone app is in active development :)
Let me know what things you would like to see, and how you want to use the app. If you can prioritise things that would be great, say from low (superfluous eye-candy), med (ideally), high (essential).

thats Brilliant, any timeframe?
How do you plan on getting the comics on the iphone?
there is a limited free app called air fly or something out recently that might be of use.
Things i'd like to see in a first release...
1. High. The ablity to read my .cbr/.cbzs or at a push PDFs on the go.
2. Low. Coverflow to browse my comics would be gorgeous.
3. Med. All the functions you could possibly cram into it that are in the mac osX app, like remembering the page you were on for that particular comic... maybe the ability to delete comics right from within the app.
High - The ability to import and read my comics on the iPhone
Medium - A searchable listing of my comics, that can be organized by my choosing (such as 'series')
Those are the functions that I really care about/can think of at the moment.
Being able to 'sync' comics to the iphone/ipod touch using the app and comicobooklover.
The transfer of rating and comic info, etc from either comicbooklover or the app (so if I edit comic info on the go, when I go home it will be easily transferred to my comicbooklover DB.
Been using ComicZeal for iPhone, which is great for reading but fairly inelegant at synching (requires a third-party open-source app). It would be great if CBL was an end-to-end solution for Mac and iPhone/iPod touch.
Downsizing of CBRs on the fly (to something like ComicZeal's CBI format) would be good too.
Well I couldn't figure out Comiczeal. I got stuck on the third party converter. Crap.
I don't want to have multiple versions of my .cbr and .cbz. They take up enough space as is on my hard drive. I just want to be able to drop in about 10 comics on my iPod Touch and read them. I get what they are saying about the .cbr's being to big a file, but I just have a thing about wasted dulicate files on my mac.
I'm using ComiXology to figure out which books to pull every week and that's an awesome program. If you look at their Preview section, you see a good version of a comic book reader for the iPhone.
I guess some additional features it would need would be the ability to navigate to any page. Maybe this could use drop down menus activated by touching the top of the panels?
And perhaps a screen showing my entire ComicBook Lover Library so I could pre select the comics to be synced next.
Sorry, just realized iComic only handles CBZs and ZIPs. So if you have lots of CBRs it's a choice between converting them to CBZ for iComic or the optimized CBI for ComicZeal.
is the app store version dead?
not heard a peep for a while.
a progress report would be ace! :)
i have bought ComicZeal in the meantime and i am loving it!!!
Game On!
