Comics.ning.com - Get wired with digital comics!

It didn't fix the issue I was having in the other thread ( It imports the comics, and sets the thumbnails, but when I try to mark the comics for genre, title, series, etc. the comics disappear from CBL, no genres or series or publishers show above and when I try to click in the browser above, I get "series Null" ... and this is is on a new, clean install of Snow Leopard on my 2.4 ghz MBP ( mid/late 2007 ) using a fresh download of CBL with all prior CBL support files deleted .... still works under Leopard on that machine BTW.

Er, what exactly does the release note mean by "updated internal libraries"? My CBL is working fine and I'm loathe to mess with the set up until I hear everything is very stable...

Unfortunately, I can tell you what broke. The publish dates are now off. Entering 5/1962 will display May of 1962, but if you go back and look at the date data, it shows 4/1962. I tried it with several dates. the data in my info changes to show it a month off, but the correct date displays in the normal CBL view under the published date column. They've had date problems in earlier versions before. I'm still finding issues that are a month off from the old date problems. Looks like they're back.

Ah frik. It's even worse than that. I just spot checked some comics I already had in there, and all the dates are now off by 2 months. In my case, thats 30329 comics with bad meta data. This is gonna suck if the next update doesn't automatically fix this. I can't spare the time to do all those manually.

Looks like I need to clarify, and hopefully it'll help the bitcartel guys to troubleshoot.

Take a scanned comic and enter the data for it. The data in "Get Info" will show the data as one month older than what you just entered, and the published date looks okay in the Published Date column of the standard view. Quit out and come back into the program. Data still looks good in the standard view, but the data in the "Get Info" dialog box is 2 months off. Hopefully this is just a display problem in the dialog box, I don't want to change the data on thousands of books.

It's a display issue with the widget. Should be fixed in build 841 available now.

Thanks Simon, I just got through sending you a notice through your website. I saw the 841 update says it fixes the issue with Snow Leopard. I'm having the issue in Tiger. 841 didn't fix it completely in Tiger though. All comics that were 2 months off in build 840 are one month off in 841.

Sorry, but neither 840 or 841 solved my issue.

Hi, latest build 846 should solve the problem with the Browser view not searching properly and showing strange data. Thanks for your patience.

Thank You Thank You Thank You. It's fixed and runs fine now. I know it must have been a pain to trouble shoot as it seemed to be only affecting certain machines/configurations ( at least going by the posts here ). Great Work Simon.
