I have been thinking about and experimenting with different UIs to make reading full page comics easier. The iPhone screen has a resolution of 480x320 in landscape mode. Often, scans have resolution in the 1500-2000 pixel range. Resizing the scan o…

Hi Simon, good to catch up with you. ComicBookLover is probably one of my most-used apps, an excellent .cbr reader.

Hi Simon! I like manga and anime, but not everything, just select things... I also like comics from Europa, the US and Mexico. Currently I'm reading Jeffrey Brown comics (Clumsy, Cat getting out of a Bag, Unlikely), I really like them!

Soccer Kids (Captain Tsubasa) was a big deal in Mexico, as everybody is a big soccer fan. It was the beginning of a nerd lifestyle for many kids :D

Thanks for creating this group! I think I was the first girl who joined...

Hello Simon,

I haven't had time to write a proper introduction or anything, but since I am francophone, bilingual and living in Montréal, I am indeed exposed to the best of almost all worlds: bande dessinées, comics and manga.

I definitely have been more into comics than BD (the acronym for Bandes Dessinées) in the last 15 to 20 years, but I still keep an eye on a lot of BD series. Québec's Grande Bibliothèque in downtown Montréal has an amazing selection of BD, comics and manga (both in French or English and sometimes in original japanese).

I probably won't be able to participate much, but if people have questions or are looking for recommendations on bande dessinées, I could be your man :-)

Happy Free Comic Book Day today :-)
I need to get to my local comic book shop later today to pick this week's comics and a few of the free stuff.

Regards,
Pierre
